Reason for recall

WASHINGTON, JULY 3, 2026 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is issuing a public health alert for a beef jerky product due to misbranding and undeclared allergen. The product contains wheat, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label. A recall was not requested because the product is no longer available for purchase. The ready-to-eat beef jerky item was produced on various dates between August 7, 2025, and July 1, 2026. The following product is subject to the public health alert [ view labels ]: 2.5-oz. plastic bag packages of “STREET’S BEEF Jerky TERIYAKI FLAVOR” with lot codes 0701271, 0520271, 04014271, 0415271, 0211271, 1015261, 1016261, 1029261, 0909261, 0806261, and 0820261 shown on a sticker on the packaging. The product bears establishment number “EST. 21827” inside the USDA mark of inspection. This item was shipped to three retail locations in Oklahoma: Bordwine Hay, Feed & Hardware, Grassroots Farm Store, and Bromide Trading Co. The problem was discovered during a routine FSIS label review. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of this product. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a health care provider. FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ pantries. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
